Try the following steps to see if the remote control starts to work:
- The lift may be in sleep mode. Try moving the joystick to illuminate the digital display.
- If the key-operated switch is in the off position, try turning the key clockwise
- If the emergency stop button on the armrest is illuminated, press the button once to switch off the emergency stop (the light should go out once the emergency stop is switched off)
- Safely remove any obstacles from between the lift and the stairs or the lift and the track. Gently push on the sides of the footplate and underpan to ensure they’re in the correct position.
- Ensure the lift is not overloaded, and try removing some weight from the lift.
